Vocation. Forgiveness of the old self. A second life in the same body.

Major Arcana · XX · number 20
An announcement. A waking. This door does not stay open.
Pluto · Hebrew Shin · Fire — the call that gathers a scattered self
An angel with a gold trumpet hovers in clouds above a landscape of open graves. Figures rise with arms lifted — a man, a woman, a child. Mountains and a wide sky.
Judgement is Pluto as vocation: the call others miss, the gathering of what was scattered. Javane’s 20 is 2 — partnership, listening — raised to a trumpet. You do not get to sleep through this one.
A life with this current hears announcements in ordinary rooms. The constructive Judgement answers and becomes someone the old life would not recognize. The shadow is self-condemnation, or waiting for a voice so loud you never have to choose. Rebirth is work after the trumpet.
Vocation. Forgiveness of the old self. A second life in the same body.
Shame as religion. Drama of awakening with no follow-through.
Answer one call in writing. Then do the first unglamorous hour of it.
You hear calls others miss. Rebirth, vocation, and the gathering of a scattered self.
An announcement, a verdict, a waking. Answer the call; this door does not stay open.
Javane numbered the deck 1–78 and laid those numbers on the Divine Triangle: Life Lesson, square centers, Major and Minor ages. When 20 appears as a standing number, read it as a life theme. When it appears as a year or a peak age, read the passing current. It is never a second Life Path.
