How it is calculated
Personal Year = birth month + birth day + the calendar year in which this birthday fell, each reduced, masters kept, then the sum reduced. It is not Life Path plus the current year. On this site the year runs birthday to birthday — not January 1. The cycle that begins on the birthday in calendar year Y uses Y in the math and runs until the day before the next birthday.

Someone born in March is not in the same Personal Year in February that they will be in April. Sites that run January 1–December 31, or that add Life Path to the calendar year, will disagree. That is a school difference, not a broken calculator.
Personal Year 1–9 and the masters
Masters stay unreduced when they appear. Most years land on 1–9. Gift, shadow, and practice for the digit live in the encyclopedia. What follows is how that number behaves as a chapter — not as a Life Path.
1 The Pioneer
A beginning chapter. Plant, name, start. Do not wait for consensus. Old cycles have closed; this is seed-time.
2 The Diplomat
A pairing chapter. Patience, timing, the second chair. Force will bounce. The work is soft power that still has a spine.
3 The Creator
A voice chapter. Write, teach, leave a mark. Finish more than you open. Sparkle without a second draft is the leak.
4 The Builder
A build chapter. Brick, systems, the unglamorous floor. Fireworks are not the point. Rest is part of the blueprint.
5 The Free Spirit
A change chapter. Motion, tests, new rooms. Keep one floor under the freedom or the year spends you.
6 The Nurturer
A home chapter. Tend, repair, the table. Include yourself in the care. Harmony that controls is not care.
7 The Seeker
A study chapter. Withdraw, research, come back with something true. A loud launch fights this year.
8 The Executive
A results chapter. Authority, money, the closed deal. Integrity is the tuition. Status as personality is the shadow.
9 The Humanitarian
A finish chapter. Complete, forgive, let go. Do not start a ten-year plan on a 9 year.
11 The Illuminator
An illumination chapter. Ground the lightning in one ordinary next step. Rest is not optional.
22 The Master Builder
A master-build chapter. One brick of the thing that outlives you — not a rendering you never leave.
33 The Master Teacher
A healing chapter. Teach from overflow. Include yourself in the care or the year becomes everyone else’s emergency.
Month and day sit inside it
Personal Month = Personal Year + calendar month. Personal Day = that month + the date. Universal Day is the same date reduced for everyone — the room you walk through. When they agree, life feels easy. When they clash, you need more intention. That clash is the harmony score in the morning briefing, not a verdict on the year.
What this calculator is not
- Not the Life Path. The Path is the country. The year is this chapter of walking it.
- Not a January–December year unless your birthday is January 1. This house follows Hans Decoz: birthday to birthday.
- Not Life Path + calendar year. The engine uses month + day + the year the birthday fell in.
- Not an order to marry, quit, or move. A 1 year wants a first move. It does not write the contract.
