Neptune is 7 in this house's modern table. The Seeker already wanted a lamp and a lock; Neptune is why the 7 can also dissolve — prayer, research, art, and the leak of calling confusion a mystery so you never have to report. A 7 number needs withdrawal on purpose, then a return with what it found.
Neptune is not in the older seven-planet friend table. There is no classical friend, neutral, or enemy row. When a 7 shows on the compact charts, read the number row: best with 1, 5, and 7; workable with 4; more effort with 2, 3, 6, 8, and 9. That last list is long. The 7 is not cursed. It is expensive in noisy rooms.
Western occult numerology handed 7 to Neptune the way it handed 4 to Uranus. The older seven had no spare planet for the mystic number. This page is the essay. The compact table stays the older seven.
Vedic numerology often gives 7 to Ketu, the south node — the cut, the monk, the past-life leftover — not to Neptune. Different planet, related hunger for the unseen. Do not average them.
