The Devil

The picture

A horned crowned figure in dark robes sits on a black marble cube, an inverted torch of gold fire dripping in the right hand. The face is pale, ceremonial, not a carnival demon. Two fully clothed people stand on the steps: a woman in burgundy, a man in green, gold ribbons loose at their wrists, palms open. The ribbons could be lifted. Lampblack cavern, blue votive flames, carved signs on the stone. Gold thread on the robe. The cube is a throne and a weight. The chain in this house is a ribbon. That is the point.

In this house

The Devil is Capricorn’s shadow: structure that became a prison, work that became a master, desire that signed a contract in the dark. Javane’s 15 reduces to 6 — love, duty, the household — under a heavier charge. The chains in this house are loose. That is the point. Ayin is the eye: consciousness of the chain is the work.

Power, sex, money, habit, a job title: any of them can fuel or bind. The constructive Devil knows what it is bound to and keeps a hand on the clasp. The shadow pretends it is free while sitting on the cube, or calls every appetite evil and then obeys it in secret. Bondage and appetite. The ribbon moves if you lift it.

Fifteen is charisma pointed at the hearth. One initiates, five electrifies, and they reduce to six: home, duty, beauty, the person everyone calls. The risk is using charm to collect dependents, or using responsibility as a reason not to be free. Honor the 6. Make it beautiful. Leave people more free than you found them, including you.

Ordinary Tuesday work is naming the chain and lifting it once to see that it moves. This house will not moralize your animal and will not sell you a demon. If 15 is standing, a strong appetite nature is the instrument. If 15 is weather, temptation, contract, or a heavy attraction is passing. Know what you are binding yourself to before you call it love or work.

An ordinary Tuesday

Name the ribbon — the habit, the app, the extra hour, the person you perform for. Lift it once today: skip it, log it, or say the true price out loud. See that it moves. Then do one unit of work you chose with the eye open.

As a life theme

A strong appetite nature. Power, sex, money, or habit can chain or fuel you. Consciousness of the chain is the work — 15 as a 6 that went into the cave. This is a standing theme, not a second Life Path. Magnetic care is the gift. Collecting dependents is the leak. Leave people more free than you found them, including you. Read the contract in daylight.

As a passing current

Temptation, contract, or a heavy attraction. Know what you are binding yourself to before you call it love or work. As a year or peak age this is weather for appetite and a cube, not a command to abstain from every pleasure or to sign every ribbon. Lift the chain. Keep the life-force. Drop the theatre.

On the Divine Triangle
